Dr. Carey Hemmelgarn received her veterinary degree at Washington State University in 2009 and has been a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (DACVECC) since 2013. She completed a small animal rotating internship at Garden State Veterinary Specialists followed by a three year residency program in small animal emergency and critical care at Oradell Animal Hospital in Paramus, NJ. Dr. Hemmelgarn returned to GSVS and joined the staff as an emergency and critical care specialist after finishing her residency in 2013. Carey is the medical director of Garden State Veterinary Services where she also attends to patients of the emergency department.
