Dr. Maglaras is a 2010 graduate of Kansas State University, College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed an Internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery in 2011 at Garden State Veterinary Specialists. Pursuing her interest in emergency critical care, Christina completed an Internship in Small Animal Emergency Critical Care in 2012, followed by a three year Residency, both at University of Georgia, College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Maglaras returned to Garden State Veterinary Specialists in 2015 to join the Emergency Critical Care team. Christina sees appointments in both the Tinton Falls and Iselin hospitals.

Irina Arye, DVM

Dr. Arye is a 2012 graduate of St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine. Irina completed a Rotating Internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at Garden State Veterinary Specialists.

Ashley E. Bava, BVetMed (Honours)

Dr. Ashley Bava is a 2014 graduate of the Royal Veterinary College, University of London. Dr. Bava completed a Rotating Internship at Miami Veterinary Specialists in 2015.

Kelly Marie Coughlin, DVM

Dr. Coughlin is a 2015 graduate of St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine. Kelly completed a Rotating Internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at Garden State Veterinary Specialists.

Amanda Hope LaRose, DVM

Dr. LaRose is a 2015 graduate of St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine. Amanda completed a Rotating Internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at Garden State Veterinary Specialists.

Dr. Marcus is a 2011 graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. Sarah completed a Rotating Internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at Garden State Veterinary Specialists.

Allison Rohde Newgent, DVM

Dr. Newgent is a 2015 graduate of University of Missouri, College of Veterinary Medicine. Allison completed a Rotating Internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at Garden State Veterinary Specialists. Dr. Newgent has remained at Garden State Veterinary Specialists for a Surgical Internship.

Leah S. Park, DVM

Dr. Park is a 2012 graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. Leah completed a Rotating Internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at Garden State Veterinary Specialists. Thereafter, Dr. Park completed a Surgical Internship at Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center and then returned to Garden State Veterinary Specialists for a residency in Small Animal Surgery.

Allison J. Staab Szarejko, DVM

Dr. Szarejko is a 2012 graduate of Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Allison completed a Rotating Internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital. She also completed a Mentorship in Small Animal Internal Medicine at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital.

John Viola, DVM

Dr. Viola is a 2013 graduate of St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine. John completed a Rotating Internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital.

Our Hospital Remains Open 24/7 to Accept Emergency & Critical Patients

It is requested, whenever possible, that the referring veterinarian alert GSVServices staff members that an emergency case is being sent to our hospital from their office. Advance notice will assist our staff members in preparing for the arrival of the patient.

Patients referred for emergency treatment or care will be referred back to their primary veterinarian for follow-up care upon the completion of treatment at GSVServices.

GSVServices has established an Emergency/Trauma unit for its critical patients which has all of the resources of the hospital available to the patient, including oxygen cages, heated recovery cages, ECG/blood pressure monitoring, isolation unit and ventilation support unit.
